By ArKIDecture BEEP
“ArKIDecture X Exhale” presents “ The Breathable City Design : Breathable Buildings” as part of the concept and inspiration to draw from the similarity between our human body system and the complex building systems such as Structure, circulatory and respiratory systems in our body. The creation of a breathable building goes beyond just one that is well naturally & mechanically ventilated space.
A breathable building has specific design features that are able to manage water vapor, wind and lighting conditions of a building that will improve the user experience of the space.
This 2-hours hand on experiential children workshop aims to allow its participants to learn how to design and build urban typologies that applies design principles and features that is able to allow the building to capture natural wind, enhance natural lightings and deal with water vapor and moisture by having a breathable building design features with various recycled materials. And collectively as they put together each of their breathable building they could now create a city that is sustainable and breathable.
